Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is less than an hour drive from Lawrence. Transportation from/to MCI airport (prices are subject to change):

GTI Shuttle - 785-842-TAXI (8294) or 785-838-4500. Shared ride is $50 each way paid with Credit Card; $40 each way paid with Cash. Go to http://www.gtilawrence.com for their shuttle schedule. You can also schedule a Private Town Car for $95 each way. This service would allow you to be picked up right away and not have to wait for their daily scheduled pickups.
Classic Limo - 913-685-3332 or 866-LIMO-490. Provides roundtrip private transportation from the Airport to Lawrence. The cost is $89 one way. They also have a Shared Ride option available at $49 one way. They request a 48 hours notice prior to pickup to guarantee a ride. Their website is http://www.kcclassiclimo.com/index.asp .
Car rental is also available at the airport.
